Offerings:
-
Exercise is the number one most important tool to being and feeling well. The Body Shape treadmill and horizontal bicycle utilize healing infrared and vacuum compression to facilitate cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, lymphatic, and respiratory health.
-
Acupuncture is the insertion of very fine, painless, sterile filiform needles into the skin to enhance the movement of Qi (motive force/ energy) in the meridians (vessels) of the body.
The meridians flow along the channels of the circulatory, lymphatic, and nervous systems. The meridians travel just below the skin layer, into the fascial layer, into the tendino-muscular layers, as well as into the organ systems.
In this way acupuncture treatments can affect the many systems of the body to alleviate almost any type of disharmony or dysfunction in the mind, body, emotion matrix
-
A gentle acupuncture treatment using a selection of points to settle down the nervous system, harmonize circulation and breath, and allow the mind to settle into an open and present state. These sessions are great for people who may be suffering from chronic pain, stuck-ness, addiction, unwanted behaviors, or just want a little push towards living a more comfortable and free life.
During the treatment, you will be led through a guided visualization to access parts of the brain which can let go and release long held beliefs, unprocessed emotions, and memories which have been stored in various parts of the physical body and viscera. While emotions may come to the surface, that is not the point, nor is it necessary; through acupuncture we can move and transform the emotions as energy.
These sessions are based on the systems of Traditional Chinese medicine, hypnotherapy, sports psychology, the works of Dr. John Sarno and Candace Pert and the exploration of quantum physics; using the nervous system pathways, we forge a path from body to mind and mind to body with repeated sessions, each session bringing us closer to our source of strength, purpose, and wellbeing.
It is highly recommended to try at least 3 sessions within a 6-week timeframe before expecting noticeable changes.
-
Cupping is the use of suction cups placed on areas of pain and excess accumulation to forcefully pull the skin and underlying tissues upwards. Cupping is used for myofascial release to relieve pain, improve flexibility and reduce muscle soreness, release endorphins, as well as draw out cellular waste and toxins from the tissues and stimulate lymphatic drainage. Cupping increases blood flow to aid in tissue repair, reduce inflammation, and release blockages. It often results in a purple colored bruise which subsides in 7-15 days. It is important to keep the area covered and dry for at least 8-12 hours following treatment so that the pores have time to release and close naturally.
-
Electrical Stimulation of the skin or needles uses safe and effective electrical impulses to stimulate the acupuncture action. It can also be used without needles, with adhesive pads placed on the skin to stimulate muscle contractions. E-stim is used to relieve pain, release trigger points, alleviate muscle spasms, restore circulation to areas of numbness or tingling, aid in scar tissue healing, induce post-exercise recovery, as well as many other functions.
-
Meditation is not the absence of thought or the suppression of thinking; it is aligning the conscious mind towards a space of respite.
-
Breathwork utilizes the body’s innate reflex of respiration to tap into the nervous, endocrine, and cardiovascular systems so as to change the body’s biochemistry and elicit a desired outcome such as clarity of mind, anxiety reduction, increased energy or increased sleepiness, relief from pain and/or releasing areas of stagnation in the body, emotional expression and processing, mood change, peace and acceptance, and it can also be used as acupuncture is used to tap into all of the layers of being. Breathwork is applied through the traditions of Pranayama, Qi Gong, Daoism, as well as modern techniques such as box breathing and 4-7-8 breathing and others.
